I haven’t blogged about the ring yet!
I was so evil. When we had dinner at TGIF on the eve of Valentine’s, she brought up the story of how her best friend got a fake glass engagement ring [temporary, for-display-purpose-only] before they get the real thing together. She then hinted twice .. haha .. first was that Diamond and Platinum has a nice selection. Then she looked across the street and said,”Look! Wah Chan! Sale!”
So .. I played along. We’re planning to buy the camera .. so I said,”Ah .. after we buy camera .. then .. no more money lo ..” and went on a good half of the night talking about how I don’t think I’ll be able to afford one .. and more practical engagement “gifts” like a property [yeah right .. like I can afford one .. right now ... right!] or something else!
I think she was just a little bit disappointed with some of my responses .. and questioned my rationale. I was trying to keep a straight face the whole way through .. and .. yeah .. I think I did pretty well.
(she’s so gonna kill me when she finds out I was pulling her leg..)
