I really don’t want the wedding to be a predictable ceremony, eat predictable food, and meet predictable people.
I want friends/guests to look forward, dress up for it, and remember it.
That’ll require some creativity .. in order to keep it on a tight budget.
Flow, ideas .. flow!
I wanna wear sneakers for my wedding.

Practical what .. since I’ve got a pair of work shoes now that I think will last till then, I can get a pair of casual sneakers that I can continue wearing after the wedding .. rather than having 2 work shoes ..
Hmm ..
Hmm, looking at a lot of sites, checking up on photography. I think the camera is one of the world’s most important inventions, being able to capture and record that moment down and provide the ability to store it almost permanently.
And to think that the concept of a photo is just to capture light.
Amazing.
Which makes photographs of a wedding so important! Some of the things that I’ve learnt about getting a photographer are as follows:
- Get a professional wedding photographer (it’s a plus point to know one that knows you)
- View his/her portfolio
- Get another backup photographer that will capture off-camera action/shots to add flavour and diversity to the whole wedding
- Discuss with the photographer about expectations of photos, shots, angles, lighting, genre, colours, setup
- To post-process or not to post-process the photos for extra effects
- Arrange a survey and trial session at the wedding venue beforehand
Anyone need a volunteer backup wedding photographer? I’m amateur, and I use an Canon S5-IS!
No charges. Free.
The save the date concept is like a reminder for people to save the date for our wedding.
Wonder if it works here in Malaysia.
Oh well, gives me another avenue to be creative, maybe set the mood for the wedding. AAaAaannnnddd … guess where the “save-the-date” will be posted?
Yup. You’ve guessed it. Right here at http://ourjourney.bigboyalready.com.
I think this website could possibly be a wedding coordination center for our wedding. Not that it would be difficult to coordinate our guests .. but I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve to make the process MUCH MUCH easier ..
Some of the things that I might be incorporating into the website:
- Online Guest RSVP
- Online (duh, I shall not repeat this .. ) Compilation of Well-Wishes
- Submission of photos captured from the wedding
- Collaboration of helpers
- Storyboard
- Photo Gallery
And many more, of which will .. come soon. Heh.
Sorry Liz, don’t know how feasible the fake turf might be, but this looks like an interesting idea:

So we went to the fabric store and bought 25 yards of white fabric. I then took a stencil and painted the design and our names on the fabric. We were going to add a black border around the edges, but it would take too long and too much work so I didn’t. This was one of the last projects and it turned out perfect!

We attended the first PMC class last weekend on Saturday!
It was fun, getting to know the other 7 (?) more couples and their stories. The covered topics were expectations of the PMC course, and also between the couple.
We listed out what we expect from our partner, and what we THINK our partner expect from us! Interesting stuff. Looking forward to .. next week’s class.
Which reminds me .. we’ve gotta finish our assignment.
Yes. It’s a course with assignments. Not too difficult though. Hehe.
Some might just frown at me, but I think the link is worth a read. I haven’t, but definitely will find time.

Whoa. I wanted to name this post “another another meet-the-in-laws session” but .. that isn’t the jist of the entry.

This is a first!
I followed a link on how to make your shoes shine like they’re covered with glass .. for my wedding day and found a site for maniquette! (man-etiquette)
Did I just form a new word?
